This vtg Cybis porcelain figurine of a curled up kitten / cat, sleeping soundly, was made in the USA by the Cybis studio in the 70's.
The piece has a bisque finish in colors of light orange and ivory. It is in excellent vintage condition, no chips, cracks, crazing or paint loss. A thrift find, obviously well loved and maintained.
One of the kitten's paws is positioned up on the forehead and the other paw is wrapped around the body - the tail is curled under. The amazing detail captures the expression and peaceful feeling of the moment beautifully. The light orange markings are so realistic, that my camera search showed real cats in repose..
Measurements: Height: 2.5", Length: 5.25", Width: 4"
The underside of the piece clearly shows the Cybis logo and signature. A delightful addition to any cat's lover collection.
