The Tripp Lite SRCOOL7KRM is a rack-mount air conditioning unit that delivers 7,000 BTU per hour of direct, close-coupled cooling to the equipment inside a 19-inch server rack. Sliding neatly into eight rack units at the bottom of the enclosure, it frees up floor space while creating a pocket of chilled air right where servers, switches, and storage arrays generate the most heat.

With 2.0 kW of cooling capacity, the SRCOOL7KRM helps prevent thermal shutdowns, erratic performance, and premature hardware wear. It is a practical solution for small to midsize data centers, branch-office server rooms, network closets, edge computing cabinets, and broadcast or AV racks that lack dedicated room-level air conditioning or need extra spot cooling during peak loads.

Setup is straightforward. The unit plugs into a standard 120-volt, 15-amp outlet using the included seven-foot cord, so no special wiring is required. An internal evaporator manages condensation automatically, removing the need for a drain line or water bucket. If a power outage occurs, the system restarts on its own with the previous settings, so the rack remains protected without manual intervention.

Front-panel controls make on-site adjustments quick, and an optional Ethernet module allows remote monitoring and management for teams that need off-site visibility. The system uses R410A refrigerant, providing reliable cooling performance while meeting current environmental guidelines.
