Frau Perchta is a fearsome Christmas-time figure from Alpine folklore, also known as Berchta or the "Spinning Room Lady". Depicted as a decrepit crone, she roams the 12 Days of Christmas to punish the lazy, greedy, and untidy by disemboweling them and filling their insides with straw and rocks. She is associated with the traditions of spinning and weaving, and ensures that chores are done and houses are clean, rewarding the virtuous but punishing the wicked.
Made in the United States in 2018, this mug is machine washable and safe for use in the freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and oven. Standing at 4 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide.
